Ultra Filtration
Ultrafiltration is the Unit operation, it helps to remove Total Suspended particles, Turbidity and Bacteria and Virus.
Process Description :-
Ultrafiltration is the process of physically removing suspended solids from water, through a membrane. Microfiltration is often used in conjunction with other separation processes such as ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. The filters used in microfiltration have a pore size of approximately 0.01 micron (small). Virus, Bacteria and suspended solids are the only element that can be removed through microfiltration.
Target Impurities :-
- TSS
- Colloidal Impurities
- Colloidal Silica
- Bacteria
- Virus
Advantages :-
- Except salts everything can be reduce.
- Compact in space.
- Maintain SDI<3 ppm to improve RO membrane Life
