Activated Sludge Process (ASP)
Activated Sludge Process (ASP) is unit Process used in waste water and sewage treatment plant. An activated Sludge Process is used for the removal of COD, BOD and Nutrient.
Process Description :-
Activated Sludge Treatment Processes that are occur in the presence of oxygen. activated sludge process is a type of wastewater treatment process for treating sewage or industrial wastewaters using aeration and a biological floc composed of bacteria and protozoa. In a conventional activated sludge process, microorganisms use oxygen to break down organic matter (food) for their growth and survival. Over time and as wastewater moves through the aeration basin, food (BOD) decreases with a resultant increase in cell mass (MLSS concentration).
Target Impurities :-
- COD
- BOD
- Nitrification
Advantages :-
- Supernant comes from ASP is use for Gardening.
- Reduction of BOD & COD can be easily done.
