Disc Reverse Osmosis Filtration
Disc RO Plant is unit Operation used in treatment of water, waste water and sewage treatment plant. Reverse osmosis is a common process to purify or desalinate contaminated water by forcing water through a membrane. Water produced by reverse osmosis may be used for a variety of purposes, including Potable Drinking Water, Process water, Cooling Water Make up, Boiler feed water etc.
Process Description :-
Disc reverse osmosis plants replaces few techniques like Ultrafiltration, Nano Filtration and Spiral RO, Spiral RO can reduce level of TDS but Disc RO can be work on TDS, Low Strength COD and TSS. In Disc RO numbers of Disc are there in 1 Module, Pore size of Disc RO is 0.0001micron and MOC of Disc RO is Polyamide, Recovery of Disc RO is around 1.2 Times of Spiral RO, Disc can be alternatively channelized in module and due to problem of that O-Ring Breakage can be overcome very easily.
Target Impurities :-
- TSS
- SDI
- Bacteria
- Virus
- Multivalent salts(TDS)
- Monovalent Salts (TDS)
- COD
Advantages :-
- Easy replacement of Membrane
- Work on High Pressure up to 120 bar
- For High Recovery
- No need for UF and NF.
- For any dissolved TDS Disc RO is best.
- Compact in space.
- Low Opex cost
- Quality of treated water is very good.
